Honest answers — in plain words.
Six questions we hear most often. If anything is still unclear, write to us — a real person answers.
What happens when I die?
A real person at My Rootzz manually verifies the memorial notice from your family, then forwards your record to the people you named — exactly the way you set it up. No automation opens your book.
What happens if My Rootzz closes?
If we ever wind down, you receive a full export of everything you wrote in PDF and machine-readable form, and we hold a six-month transfer window so nothing is lost. Your words stay yours.
Who can read my words?
While you are alive: only you. No staff member ever reads your entries unless you explicitly ask the Keeper for help. The AI assistant runs in your private session and never trains on your text.
Can I export my data?
Yes — any time, with one click. You can download a full PDF book of everything you've written, plus a machine-readable archive of your photos. We will never lock you in.
Is this religious?
No. My Rootzz is open to any belief or none. The questions and tone are gentle and non-doctrinal. You write whatever you wish, in your own words.
How does the human keeper work?
Three protocols are handled by a real person: closing your account, receiving a memorial notice, and delivering your last gift. Every request is reviewed by hand. No algorithm decides when your book opens.
